The minion barbarian, affectionately known as barbmancer, petquake, or zoo barb, was anticipated to excel this season, but it has truly surpassed expectations. This build could very well revitalize what seemed like a monotonous meta reminiscent of past green helltide days. Nevertheless, bashquake, our reigning champion, remains competitive, closely trailing in pit clears, likely overshadowed by the new shiny builds. There's a genuine chance it could reclaim its title.
Mighty throw, while not entirely new, has experienced a resurgence this season after its impressive introduction during Season 6. For those with mechanical skill, this build is exceptionally powerful, creating a flurry of orange damage numbers across the screen. It offers various playstyles, but be prepared to engage with weapon swapping, buff timers, and snapshotting—definitely a challenge for the mechanically inclined.
Honorable mentions go to double swing and whirlwind—double swing is a fun, recently buffed build that is surprisingly tanky when fully geared, while whirlwind allows players to spin and unleash a laser beam. What more could you ask for?

Sadly, the druid meta appears stagnant as we transition from Season 7 to Season 8. The cataclysm druid remains firmly at the top, despite the loss of the xan rune and various seasonal powers. Could the issue stem from the 700%+ multiplier on gloves? It's hard to tell. New items like gathlen's birthright and impending deluge have yet to find a proper application.
On a positive note, earth and werebear builds have gained much-needed improvements, making them more competitive. Stone burst can now farm torment 4 effectively due to the reworked anticline burst, bringing it closer in performance to its peers. Builds such as pulverize and tornado have also seen a revival as rampaging werebeast regains its potency. While buffs to earthen might are appreciated, this key passive still lags behind bestial rampage and ursine strength in endgame scenarios.

While new items like rushing claw and sunbird's gorget offer some help, they don't significantly impact top pit clears. Although the class maintains balance among its builds and showcases excellent farming potential, they struggle in T4 content and against bosses.
